Removing the Huntsman Hinge Pin: Here are some simple tips to help remove the hinge pin on your Huntsman or Giant Huntsman grill

1. Make sure your hinge is fully installed and bolted to both the lid and the body of your grill, and that the grill is latched closed in front.

2. Tighten the hinge tension bolt until it is hand-tight.

3. Using the 8mm allen socket and wratchet sent with your tool kit, tighten the tension bolt one-quarter turn at a time, pulling on the hinge pin after each quarter turn to check if it is loose.

4. Repeat the quarter turn and pull until the hinge pin is loose enough to remove.

Once you have removed the hinge pin, you can adjust the hinge tension to change the action on your lid, making it lighter or heavier depending on your preference. If your front latch is difficult to open, reducing the hinge tension can make it easier.

DO NOT remove the hinge bracket bolts from your grill without the hinge pin in place.
